WATSONS Philippines is working on bringing more sustainable products to its consumers this year, as part of its efforts to intensify its action against climate change.
Speaking at the ‘Do Good Webinar,’ Vikki Herrera-Encarnacion, Watsons Philippines Public Relations and Sustainability director, highlighted the company’s sustainability achievements. To date, Watsons has been able to offer about 1,200 sustainable products with better packaging and ingredients. ‘Admittedly, these numbers are small relative to the problems the world faces today. That is why in the coming months, Watsons aims to step up our programs for the communities and the planet,’ Encarnacion said.
Suppliers of Watsons are encouraged to come up with more sustainable products, Encarnacion said. By this year, the company is targeting to double its current count of 1,200 sustainable products in all of its stores nationwide, she added.
