Over 80 retail leaders from operations and support groups have learned the latest techniques in store operations management from seasoned retail and rockstar trainer Mr. Francis Dela Cruz Jr. last February 28 at the Joy Nostalg Hotel and Suites Manila, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
During the lively and information-packed afternoon of PRA’s 45th Retail Excellence (Retail EXL) Seminar Series, Mr. Dela Cruz shared the different types of consumers and how front liners should properly engage with them.
He shared that customers today and before are entirely different, as customers then were more patient, compared with the customers today. This is because they have more choices and have faster way of living and want convenience when shopping in a store.
Additionally, he said that customers are looking for high quality and good experience from brands. For instance, tacky and memorized greetings is now out, instead, customers seek care and kindness, which are important factors for them to be loyal to the store or brand.
He said that stores and brands must seek to offer an unforgettable experience for them to return to the store. He also added that a satisfied customer is not always a happy customer, and only happy customers return.
During the seminar, Globe Digital Ventures and Alliance End-to-End Solution also shared the newest solutions in business including apps for customer loyalty program and web-based POS.
Retail EXL is a series of seminars aimed at upgrading and updating the skills and competencies of retailers and helping create a more competitive retail workforce. This is done in partnership with industry experts and experienced trainers.
