Fake Procter & Gamble products worth at least PP400,000 have been seized by authorities from two stores in Bacolod City.
Five search warrants for violation of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines were implemented against Walk Fashion Accessories and Ysabelle Celine Fashion Shop, plus five more search warrants at YYK Fashion Accessories, says senior police officer Joshua Barile.
He says officers recovered 220 bottles and 7085 sachets of shampoo, lotion, soap and cream with Procter & Gamble labels, but all fake, from Walk Fashion Accessories and Ysabelle Celine Fashion Shop.
Confiscated from YYK Fashion Accessories, meanwhile, were 644 bottles of counterfeit shampoo and lotion.
While there were no arrests, Barile says trademark infringement charges may be filed against the owners, whose names were not disclosed.
