Foot Locker opened its first Philippine location here Friday, as the U.S. sneaker store chain makes a play for fans of name-brand shoes and sportswear.
The store in Manila’s Glorietta shopping mall is complete with the chain’s signature striped employee uniforms that look like referees’ shirts.

Foot Locker entered the Philippine market under a partnership with Indonesian retailer MAP Aktif Adiperkasa.
The Manila store opening represents a strategic step in expanding and upgrading MAP’s network, said CEO Nicholas Jones.
