Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC) has opened its first 7-Eleven store for Bohol, at the Arcom Center in Poblacion, Panglao.
With PSC’s ongoing expansion in the Visayan regions, Bohol is the fourth major island for the 7-Eleven chain. PSC started expanding outside Luzon in 2012, followed by Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo and Boracay.
PSC aims to open seven more stores in Bohol by the end of the year, for a total of 30 outlets in the next three years.
“It’s definitely the right time for us to bring 7-Eleven to Bohol, as it’s brimming with potential, evident in the increase of tourist arrivals and overall developments,” says PSC president/CEO Jose Victor Paterno.
Within Bohol, it will concentrate on opening stores in Calape, Tagbiliran and Tubigon for this year, and more provinces in Eastern Visayas next year.
Now at 268 stores, PSC hopes to close the year with 300 stores in Visayas by making the most of the first-mover advantage in Central and Western Visayas. Overall, it plans to add 412 stores this year.
