Indian tech company, Jio Platforms, has teamed with Meta to launch the first end-to-end shopping experience on WhatsApp, allowing consumers to purchase directly on the app.
Through WhatsApp, customers can access to JioMart’s entire grocery catalog, add items to cart, and make the payment to complete the purchase without leaving the app.
“Business messaging is an area with real momentum and chat-based experiences like this will be the go-to way people and businesses communicate in the years to come,” said Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta.
