Max’s Group Inc. will be expanding its pizza brand Yellow Cab Pizza Co. to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Max’s Group said it recently signed a development agreement with Middle East-based Cartoon Fashion Group to open 10 Yellow Cab Pizza stores in the UAE within the next five years.
Yellow Cab currently operates 112 branches in the Philippines and six in Qatar.
With the new agreement, Yellow Cab is expected to have a total of 31 branches in the Middle East in the next 10 years, 15 of which are set to open in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“This is aligned with our thrust of expanding our overseas presence into new markets,” said Max’s Group president and chief executive Robert Trota.
“With Cartoon Fashion Group’s proven track record and solid reputation in the UAE, we knew they were the best partner for this endeavor,” he added.
The Cartoon Fashion Group is one of the UAE’s largest and most successful retail and hospitality consortiums. It runs numerous well-known international brands, including Adidas, Ed Hardy and French Connection, in more than 25 outlets across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Max’s Group, meanwhile, said it plans to accelerate its store expansion in the second half of the year for scheduled mall openings and the Christmas season.
Max’s Group is the largest operator in the Philippine casual
dining segment.
Aside from Yellow Cab, its family of brands include Max’s Restaurant, Pancake House, Krispy Kreme, Jamba Juice, Max’s Corner Bakery, Teriyaki Boy, Dencio’s, Meranti, Le Coeur De France, Maple, Kabisera, Singkit and Sizzlin’ Steak.
