LTS Retail Specialists president Javelin “Javey” Alvarez Lim has died at the age of 45 years.
LTS runs the New City Commercial Center (NCCC) Supermarket, Choice Mart and HB1 Pharmacy.
NCCC Group PR manager Thea Padua says Lim’s brand of leadership will always be cherished.
Survived by wife Julie and their two children, he was the eldest of six children of Helen and the late Henry Lim. Three of his siblings are also involved in the business – Lafayette is president of LTS Hardwares and NCCC Cares, and CEO of LTS Pinnacle Holdings; Ivy Michelle is president of LTS Department Stores; and Sharlene Faye is president of LTS Malls.
Padua says Lim was a supportive leader who attended all company events such as store openings. But he would not deliver speeches “saying he is not that type of person”.
NCCC Supermarket PR head Janna Mutalib says Lim was an inspiring leader who cared and strove to spread love and positivity. “His passion for giving back to our shoppers will always be a priority.”
