London-based luxury department store Harrods, will soon open its newest branch in Shanghai’s Pudong district in China.
According to reports, the iconic retailer is keen on investing in China, after years of investment in the country.
Harrods managing director Michael Ward said in an interview that they need to go after the growth which happens mostly in Southeast Asia and millennials, and they are getting a permanent resident in China.
Late last year, Harrods opened a pop-up store in the country to test the physical landscape.
