Filipino consumers spent more at the 2019’s “11.11” shopping sale compared to last year’s, and they are expected to spend more during the 12.12 shopping event, a few days ahead Christmas.
According to iPrice Group data, Filipino shoppers spent an average of P1,217 during the 11.11. sale last November 11, which was higher by 10% than last year’s P1,106 as more shoppers migrate online, according to iPrice.
Based on the Philippine Statistics Authority data, Filipinos spent P628 more than the average daily household expenditure during the 11.11 sale, with sports and outdoor items as well as electronic products dominating their shopping carts.
iPrice cited the growing number of gyms and outdoors amenities in the country on the increase of Filipinos’ spending on sports bags and fitness-related food supplements.
