IFRS 15
This one-day seminar provides an overview of the provisions of IFRS 15, particularly the five-step revenue recognition model. It also highlights the differences between IFRS 15 and the current revenue standards as well as challenges and potential issues upon its adoption.
IFRS 16
The seminar aims to provide an overview of the principles and requirements of the new Leases standard. It also aims to compare IFRS 16 with the current leases standard, IAS 17, and to familiarize the participants with the potential implications of the new standard.

Benjie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the San Beda College. He is a Certified Public Accountant and was 3rd place in the May 2004 CPA board examinations. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor. He completed the Columbia Essentials of Management program at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, New York, USA.
Benjie has 11 years of audit experience. He has been involved in audits of companies reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards and US GAAP and in SOX 404 audits of internal control over financial reporting. His major clients are publicly listed and include companies engaged in power distribution, power generation, real estate, retail operations and telecommunications as well as semiconductors.
Benjie is a member of the Capital Markets Center team and reviews domestic and cross-border capital raising transactions. He is also a member of Accounting Standards Group and handles issues dealing mostly with IAS 17, Leases; IAS 37, Provisions, Contingent Liabilities and Contingent Assets; IAS 36, Impairment of Assets; and IAS 38, Intangible Assets.
He is also a partner in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services.
Roel E. Lucas

Roel has over 12 years of audit experience, working on financial statement audits of telecommunications companies. These financial statements are prepared under US GAAP, Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards. He serves clients involved in telecommunications, power distribution, utilities, real estate development, retail and trading. He has extensive experience working on SOX 404 engagements an on a variety of complex matters including consolidation accounting, business combination and revenue recognition. He is a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP). He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA Philippines) and placed 19th in the May 1998 CPA Licensure Examinations. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from the University of Mindanao.
