Chairman Formoso introduces FAPRA in MAPIC Italy

Federation of Asia Pacific Retailers Association (FAPRA) Chairman Lorenzo Formoso (far left) introduced and shared information about FAPRA and its network to assist prospective investors and retailers wishing to expand in Asia Pacific during the second edition of MAPIC Italy in Milan last May 17.

Chairman Formoso was one of panelists in one of the forums during Italy’s foremost retail and retail real estate event which draws together and links Italian and international stakeholders in the retail and real estate industries including retailers, shopping center developers and owners, brokers and investors.

In the forum which tackles expanding business abroad, Chairman Formoso introduced to the audience the FAPRA which covers 18 retailers association across Asia and Pacific including China, Japan, India, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Thailand, and Philippines among other.

“As the federation of retailers association in Asia Pacific, FAPRA can be your gateway to the region and we can help you through networking—such as in getting connected with national retail association of your target country,” Chairman Formoso said.

He added that since FAPRA members are retail organizations, they are knowledgeable of the retail market situation and regulations in their country.

He also shared that FAPRA’s main goal is to promote information exchange and networking within and beyond the region to usher further growth not only in the retail industry but the entire economy as well.

Other panelists during the forum are Vapiano Franchising International Managing Director Christopher Jones and Al Hokair Fashion Retail COO Domenico Guttadauro Mancinelli who on the other hand shared tips about franchising.

The two-day event has gathered together about 1,500 delegates including some 550 retail executives.
