Ayala Mall’s The 30th has partnered with transportation network company Uber to shuttle commuters from the newest Ayala Mall branch in Pasig to business destinations in Makati and Taguig through Uber’s ride-sharing service Uberhop.

At a flat rate of P70, mall-goers from The 30th can share ride with other passengers going to Landmark Mall in Makati or High Street in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig. It will also shuttle passengers from the Net Quad building in BGC to The 30th mall. The service is available on weekdays during peak hours 5-9PM.

“We want to provide reliable transportation options for our shoppers, which is why we pursued this partnership with Uber. Through the Uberhop service, shoppers can easily get to and from Ayala Malls The 30th and other central business districts, with the peace of mind that they are safe and that they are conscientiously helping ease traffic in the Metro by sharing a ride,” Ayala Malls The 30th General Manager Mariana Zobel de Ayala said.

She said the company is primarily focusing on servicing people within a 2-kilometer radius, though it noted how people from the various offices farther are also coming to the mall, so it will be better if they can improve accessibility.

“The beauty of this is that it brings 6 to 8 people together, people who would have otherwise taken their own cars from Makati and back, so that’s around 6 less cars on the road during rush hour, and we all know even just one additional car during rush hour is really more than we need,” said Uber Philippines communications head Cat Avelino.
