The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) has successfully conducted the third edition of the Retail Executive Circle (RetailRex) Breakfast Forum last October 15, 2019 at the Marco Polo Ortigas, Pasig City.

Adobe’s Head of Innovation for Asia Pacific Scott Rigby shared insights on “The Future of the Future of Retail,” which gave the attendees a look on the future of digital transformation and customer experience in the retail industry.

Rigby shared that at the global platform, retail is facing many challenges, including shoppers who expect consistency, convenience and personalization.

In a survey in Australia, 73% of the respondents say they expect the same experience in online and instore shopping. While another study revealed that 80% of customers are more likely to purchase when brands offer personalized experience.

To overcome these challenges, Rigby shared that retailers must respond by redesigning the retail experience and leveraging on rich data, among others.

“You can use technology all you want, but to deliver amazing experience, you must have the ability to execute well to make your brand stand out,” Rigby said.

Some of the country’s biggest retail companies including SM Retail, Robinsons Land, Lazada, CMG Retail, and Silverworks among others were present during the exclusive breakfast forum.

The RetailRex Breakfast Forum is an exclusive event launched last year and conducted on a by-invitation only basis, featuring a specific theme or niche available only to pre-selected C-level retail owners and executives.

It aims to provide a venue for retail owners and  C-level retail executives to learn the latest insights from global thought leaders; network with colleagues and engage in rich discussion that promotes further development in the retail industry. It also seeks to give the attendees unparalleled views about winning strategies, retail transformation and new ways to connect with consumers.
