In a partnership with the Bistro Group, Singapore bakery Baker and Cook plus Plank Sourdough Pizza have launched in the Philippines.
Opening simultaneously at S Maison Conrad Hotel in Manila, the neighbouring outlets were founded by New Zealand celebrity baker, entrepreneur, TV host and author Dean Brettschneider.
His Baker and Cook “new world” concept combines baking styles he found in his travels, including American, Australian, Danish, French, German and New Zealand adaptations.
Plank Sourdough Pizza features the chef’s signature sourdough recipe, handcrafted from a combination of flours fermented up to 48 hours with the natural wild yeast levain as well as salt, water and extra-virgin olive oil.
The expansion to the Philippines was tipped by Inside Retail in November.
